Jonathan Klemens' review of 18th Century  disease theory and treatment
including blood-letting, purging, blistering, herbal remedies,
mercury use, quackery, and other treatments.

Pittsburgh native, Jonathan Klemens, is a historian and accomplished writer of historical fiction, Scottish lore, and integrative medicine. As an author and clinical pharmacist, he published a book on integrative medicine and an article on psychotropic medicinal plants. Jonathan also published a historical fiction baseball novelette for inclusion in the Baseball Hall of Fame Library, and over sixty short stories and articles in national and international publications, including a college textbook. He has presented numerous lectures on George Washington and 18th Century Pennsylvania history.
